The NARR Standards offer a standardized language that allows for more productive & meaningful conversation that translates across states; provide an inclusive framework of four levels of support; unite fragmented knowledge bases; facilitate the collection and promotion of best practices; and offer a blueprint to improve and expand existing capacity.

Ethics

The NARR Code of Ethics was designed to address issues involving ethical procedures, confidentiality, responsibility to residents, conflicts of interest, ethical conduct, and marketing ethics. Operators and staff of certified residences shall value and respect each resident and put each individual’s recovery strengths and needs at the forefront of all decision making.
